Our "Shatter" earrings are reminiscent of the spiderweb-like beauty of a piece of shattered glass. In our version, however, the "glass" is dozens of tiny pieces of hand cut sterling silver shards, applied one-by-one to a pair of sterling silver backplates. We make these earrings from scratch, using nothing more than sheets of metal which are sawed, soldered and carefully formed. The "black" color is in fact silver that is darkened through an oxidation process.
